GoJoe - Leashless Board Recovery

Regular price $79.00

The Go-Joe is in use in schools world wide and is the only board recovery device officially endorsed and promoted by both the IKO and PASA, the world’s two largest kiteboard instructor certification bodies.

Designed to sit unobtrusively between your feet on the board, you won’t even notice the Go-Joe when riding. However, lose your board and the Go-Joe’s inflated body will flip your board over for you and catch the wind, sailing the board down wind so that it is never far from you after a crash or hard landing.

GO-JOE, IKO ENDORSED

The high accident rate caused by board leashes prompted the majority of kite schools to ban using board leashes long ago. However, some people may still think that they can get away with using one. But, our hard-won experience has taught us that there is no safe way to use a board leash and there are no safe types of board leashes either. Simply, don’t use one. Instead, learn how to kite better so you won’t need one. If you are a beginner try using a “Go-jo” device. They look a bit funny but they really work great. If you are still tempted to use a board leash after reading this then just Google “kite board leash injuries” and see what comes up.

INSTALLATION OF YOUR GO-JOE

The Go-Joe is designed to fit under most conventional board grab handles. Simply remove your board’s grab handle, slide it into the webbing strap of the Go-Joe and re-bolt the handle to the board, bolting the 2nd bolt through the slotted end of the Go-Joe – designed to allow you to adjust the Go-Joe’s angle on your board.

Note: Your Go-Joe shipped with a spare set of longer M6x18mm fasteners in case your grab handle’s bolts are not long enough to accommodate the Go-Joe’s extra width. M6 is a near universal bolt size for kiteboards but before fastening, be sure to test bolts for compatibility with your board. Some boards use bolt systems other than Metric 6.
